Mohamad Husam Helmi is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at Rabdan Academy, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Prior to his current position, Dr. Helmi served as the Programme Director for the BSc Finance program at Durham Business School. He obtained a PhD in Economics and Finance from Brunel University London (UK). His research interests lie primarily in Islamic finance, Monetary policy, and FinTech. He has published in quality journals such as the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, the International Journal of Finance & Economics, and the Annals of Operations Research, among others.
