Dr. Anwar Hasan Abdullah Othman held roles including a former deputy dean (research and innovation) and assistant professor at the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking & Finance (IIiBF). He has also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He attained his Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Finance) from IIUM University-Malaysia in 2015. Dr. Anwar is actively involved as an editor for numerous international journals and has lectured at various universities. His research and publications span a wide array of topics, including monetary policy, the cryptocurrency industry, circular economy, climate change, micro and macroeconomic policy, asset pricing, unit trust funds industry, Islamic banking and finance, and stock markets. Dr. Anwar holds membership in multiple research organizations and has participated in numerous local, global, and world economic forums covering business, economics, finance, and social science. He possesses extensive expertise in utilizing data analysis software and statistical models and has supervised several Master and Ph.D. students at the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking & Finance.
